Ten places of worship from across Yorkshire are celebrating this month after receiving a share of £74,000 to help towards the cost of repairs and maintenance work from the YHCT.
The much needed funds will help a range of churches and chapels continue to offer warm and dry spaces for both worship and an increasing number of local community services.
The churches receiving funding are:
Mount Pellon Christ Church £12,000 for dry rot repairs (Anglican)
York Cornerstone £5,000 for roof repairs (Free Church)
Leeds St Augustine £6,000 for roof repairs (Catholic)
Bradford Holy Trinity £9,000 for parapet repairs (Anglican)
Wetherby St Joseph £2,000 for roof repairs (Catholic)
Whitgift St Mary £3,000 for fabric repairs (Anglican)
Cookridge Holy Trinity £7,000 for window repairs (Anglican)
Holmbridge St David £7,000 for organ restoration works (Anglican)
York St Michael le Belfrey £15,000 for glazing and stonework repairs (Anglican)
St Stephen’s Lindley £8,000 for parapet repairs (Anglican)
