Nine of Yorkshire’s finest churches and chapels have been awarded a share of over £46,000 for vital repairs works, thanks to the support from the Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust at the latest grants committee.
Churches receiving funding span the region from north, west and south Yorkshire, including Anglican and Catholic churches, with support offered for a range of repairs, restoration and maintenance.
The full list of churches receiving support are:
Clifford, St Edward King and Confessor, £8000 for fabric repairs
Healey, St Paul, £5000 for masonry repairs
Amotherby, St Helen, £6000 for structural repairs
Hickleton, St Wilfrid, £4000 for altar repairs
Ripon, St Wilfrid, £4000 for altar repairs
Bradford, St Joseph, £8000 for roof and stonework repairs
Bradford , Our Lady of Lourdes and St William, £3000 for dry rot treatment
Long Marston, All Saints, £4000 for wall and guttering repairs
South Kirby, All Saints, £5000 for roof repairs
