The YHCT were delighted to awarded £8000 to St Margaret of Antioch, in Brotton Parva, for urgent roof repairs, needed to ensure the building can remain watertight and open for use.
St Margaret’s is the only community building in this former mining settlement, a much loved and well used church at centre of the community, hosting a range of local groups, including cafes, men’s groups, community health services and providing space for the local schools to use. The church has also hosted a number of fundraising events, including bingo nights, soup lunches and concerts.
